You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Team Member Indirect Taxation will be responsible for ensuring compliance with indirect tax laws including GST Excise and Customs regulations. The role requires handling audits assessments tax planning and litigation matters. The candidate will support business teams by advising on taxrelated issues and ensuring taxefficient business transactions.
Ensure adherence to indirect tax laws including timely filing of GST returns and compliance with Excise and Customs regulations.
Validate tax positions and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Advise business teams on indirect tax matters identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
Manage and close GST audits and assessments ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities responding to inquiries and ensuring smooth assessment processes.
Assist in financial audits related to indirect taxation preparing and validating necessary data.
Handle tax litigation matters preparing responses to queries from tax authorities.
Work with legal counsel to resolve disputes and ensure favorable tax positions.
Evaluate tax planning opportunities and develop strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
Implement policy changes and improvements in tax processes.
Ensure the latest tax regulations are incorporated into business processes to mitigate risks.
Coordinate with internal teams including Finance Supply Chain and Legal to ensure tax compliance.
Act as a subject matter expert providing guidance on indirect tax implications of business transactions.
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) with a Bachelor s degree in Commerce.
Experience: 13 years of experience in indirect taxation specifically GST Excise and Customs.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and accounting skills.
Experience with SAP/ERP systems.
Preferably exposure to Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams.
