The team is building solutions by enabling our partners (i.e. drivers and merchants) to get access to financial services (lending and insurance) products for their everyday needs.
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager II to join our engineering team in Jakarta Indonesia. You will lead a team of engineers while driving innovation in our insurance technology solutions. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and work onsite in our Jakarta office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Oversee the development and implementation of cuttingedge insurance software solutions
- Lead a team of engineers promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives; and external parties including clients and vendors.
- Manage project timelines budgets and resources
- Implement best practices in software development testing and deployment
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends in the insurance sector
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Participate in strategic planning and decisionmaking processes
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Min. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field; MBA or Masters degree would be an added value
- Solid foundation in Computer Science with expertise in algorithms data structures and software engineering principles.
- Min. 3 years managing teams of 5 or more engineers with experience and 7 years in software engineering with handson coding skills and an understanding of scalable architectures microservices and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
- Experience working with global teams and collaborating on crossregional projects.
- Experience building and scaling engineering teams with handson technical skills in backend (Java) and web development. Familiarity with user experience principles and best practices for system testability availability and security.
- Experience driving initiatives to enhance team productivity such as implementing CI/CD pipelines improving development workflows and reducing bottlenecks.
- Experience managing diverse teams. Demonstrate ability to resolve issues and conflicts inspire others and build a collaborative team environment.
- Able to articulate ideas clearly and influence stakeholders across different cultures and regions.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g. PE) would be an added value
