Alfred Health and Monash Health have established a formal partnership to deliver a Shared Pathology Service as one of three new pathology networks for metropolitan Melbourne. This partnership is aligned with the Victorian Governments Pathology system reform. The Pathology programs are working in partnership to ensure we meet the future demand and continue to provide high quality pathology services for the patients and community across the health services.
In the Partnership pathology services are provided from two main laboratories (The Alfred in Prahran and Monash Medical Centre in Clayton) and six branch laboratories (Casey Hospital Dandenong Hospital Moorabbin Hospital Sandringham Hospital Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospital). In addition there are 20 collection centres and rooms spread across Southeast Melbourne and South Gippsland with the furthest one located in Yarram.
The Position Summary
The Specimen Tracking Application Project Manager will be an Alfred Health appointment on behalf of the Alfred/Monash Shared Pathology Project and will implement a cloudbased Specimen Tracking Application within the timelines of the Shared Pathology Project. This position will report to the Digital Program Manager and be a part of the project leadership team. While this role is specifically to work on the Specimen Tracking Application within the LIS implementation project this role will also work in close collaboration with the broader Alfred/Monash Shared Pathology Project team.
