Direct the parks and conservation enforcement department by developing and implementing policies procedures and program priorities consistent with policy established by Tribal council and tribal committees. Analyze all pertinent issues and information regarding the impact of the proposed policy and determine the necessary resources to implement such a policy. Serve as the principal contact with federal state and local governments NGOs and tribal governmental organizations and groups that may affect the Tribe s natural resources. Develop and directly influence administrative technical policy regulatory and operational plans and guidelines that will secure the Tribe s current and future management goals by providing tribal policy representatives with information and recommendations. Establish strategic planning goals for preserving and enhancing the Tribe s treatyreserved rights interests and authority.
A fouryear degree in natural resources or criminal justice or related experience in a similar field and ten years experience in increasing responsibility are required. Three years of supervisory and budgetary expertise are also needed. A minimum of twelve years of experience in natural resources with demonstrated increasing responsibility is also required. A Master of Science degree may substitute up to two years of experience.
Full Time
