Job Description

We are looking to hire an assistant housekeeping manager to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a flexible schedule and have great attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • To establish a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department to include all assigned areas of the Hotel. To be specifically concerned with Room Attendants Floor Supervisors and Lobby Attendants.

  • In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper the Assistant Housekeeping Manager will operate the Housekeeping Department and all other areas of responsibility.

  • Work closely with and maintain a high degree of excellence and communication with other departments.

  • Be specifically responsible for the standards of all Guest rooms suites corridors backofthehouse storage and linen rooms.

  • Ensure all Supervisorscontinuallyinspect assigned areas and have turned in inspections.

  • Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time.

  • Ensure effective and complete training is in use and all associates are well trained.

  • Ensure proper key controls are in effect.

  • Take accurate linen inventories per SOP.

  • Take an accurate Guest supply inventory every period.

  • Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time.

  • Review operating statements and critique unusual surpluses and shortages.

  • Ensure that proper key controls are in effect.

  • Immediate response to all guest problems and guest correspondence pertaining to the Housekeeping Department.

  • Ensure that lost and found articles are stored properly and correct logs are maintained.
    Participate in the Manager on Duty Program

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess strongcomputer skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Must be able to work a flexible workschedule including weekends and holidays.

  • The position requires strong attention to detail leadership skills and the ability to effectively deal with department heads guests and teammembers.

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

  • One yearhotel experience preferred but not necessary.

  • Prefer local candidates.
