Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist for 2nd shift) to setup different complex jobs in our shop utilizing FANUC operating systems. You will be setting up machining for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical hours are Monday Friday 4:20 pm to 2:50 am. This shift offers a 10 shift differential. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times. This position offers a hireonbonus!
Job duties:
Setup CNC machinery to specifications.
Plan difficult setups.
Perform complex setups for a series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to ensure close/exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
Resolve problems and make suggestions for improvement.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean orderly work area.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude and machining skill set skill assessment required
Minimum of 5 years of Setup experience in a similar environment is required.
Broad knowledge of machining techniques with CNC machine tool operating procedures.
Ability to apply recognized procedures where tolerances are close.
Blueprint reading ability.
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
Team player with positive outlook.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
Able to read and write English preferred.
Basic computer skills.
