Assesses plans coordinates implements and evaluates staff support services and programming. Must be available in realtime (inperson or by telephone) to provide emotional and psychological support for staff during particularly stressful events. Must be available for on call crisis support such as Critical Incident Stress Management assisting staff to become emotionally regulated including suicide screening.
Essential Functions:- Provides staff interventions such as assessment brief crisis intervention services and other alternative health modalities to aid in the processing and coping of potentially traumatic events. Demonstrates exceptional knowledge in best practices to minimize trauma
- Provides staff support by implementing a variety of proactive resilience and wellness activities. Designs coordinates implements and manages select projects including educational programs and materials.
- Develops monitors and collaborates with department leadership on staff wellness services and provides individual assistance related to clinical care situations.
- Provides standards for programming that fosters team collaboration ensuring that cultural competency and cultural humility is used. Develops appropriate evaluation systems to determine effectiveness and provides analysis. Participates in performance improvement processes and regulatory processes as required.
- Reviews and revises department policies procedures and processes related to staff support needs. Provides consultations and analysis of staff emotional support needs. Provides recommendations for priority programming and implementation processes.
- Acts as a liaison to internal and external support resources. Provides information and links to You Matter Matrix and other professional community support.
- Participates actively on committees task forces and projects as assigned. Provides leadership in the department and division by assuming an active role for program development expansion and outcome measurement as directed.
Education Requirement: - Masters degree in Psychology Social Work Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy or relevant field required.
- Ph.D preferred.
Licensure Requirement: - Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required.
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) preferred.
Certifications:Additional licenses or certifications in alternative medicine modalities preferred.
Skills: - Robust customer service interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with high levels of initiative decision making and organizational skills.
- Basic MS Office and computer proficiencies.
Experience: - Two years of postmasters clinical experience in a variety of settings with emphasis on mental health or chemical dependency required.
- Experience with workplace issues preferred.
- Two years of EAP experience preferred.
