Tasks
- Develop and maintain Javabased applications ensuring high performance security and scalability
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product managers designers and other developers to create innovative solutions
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented Java code following best practices and coding standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprints standups and retrospectives
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize Java applications for performance and stability
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features ensuring they align with business goals
- Maintain and improve existing codebase ensuring compatibility and technical debt is managed effectively
- Work hybrid: 2 days per week in the office in Lisbon
Requirements
- 45 years of professional experience as a Java Developer
- Solid experience in Java development including frameworks like Spring Hibernate and J2EE
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
- Experience with RESTful APIs microservices architecture and cloudbased platforms (e.g. AWS Azure)
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum Kanban)
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with availability to work 2x per week in the office
