Organization and Program Summary

Civic Works strengthens Baltimores communities through education skills development and community service. Our Center for Sustainable Careers (CSC) department expands access to familysustaining careers through handson learning onthejob training and job quality initiatives. We have sectorbased career tracks in solar installation roofing and utility infrastructure. Our program model has proven powerfully successful with over 1000 CSC graduates since 2003 an impressive average job placement rate of 85 and starting wages of over $19 per hour. Position Summary

The Case Management Supervisor is a key leadership role at Civic Works Center for Sustainable Careers (CSC) helping Baltimore residents from historically marginalized communities build familysustaining careers. This role oversees a team of three providing direct services to applicants students and alumni. The Supervisor ensures the delivery of highquality support by guiding preenrollment services training and mentoring case managers and maintaining seamless service coverage. Through strategic leadership they will shape and enhance CSCs student services making a lasting impact on the lives of program participants and graduates.

Primary Responsibilities

I. Staff Management

  1. Recruit supervise support and retain case management staff fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  2. Develop and continuously update training materials to support team growth and performance.
  3. Set measurable performance standards and provide regular coaching and feedback to staff.

II. Case Management Oversight

  1. Lead by example modeling compassionate innovative and responsive supportive services.
  2. Oversee the delivery of supportive services including referrals to housing education healthcare and counseling resources.
  3. Guide case managers in helping participants achieve longterm goals through Individual Service Plans (ISP).
  4. Ensure accurate documentation eligibility compliance and grantrelated reporting.
  5. Establish and implement clinical protocols and policies.

III. PreEnrollment Services

  1. Design and implement preenrollment services to help accepted participants address longterm goals such as drivers license attainment before program enrollment.
  2. Collaborate with case managers to ensure participants are wellprepared for program and employment success.
  3. Lead efforts to expand and enhance preenrollment services through continuous improvement.

IV. Alumni Services

  1. Oversee alumni services to ensure highquality support for graduates during the twoyear postgraduation period.
  2. Oversee alumni communication workshops and partnerships with external organizations to enhance career opportunities.
  3. Monitor alumni milestones and ensure accurate tracking of outcomes such as wage progression.
  4. Lead efforts to expand and enhance alumni services through continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • At least four 4 years of progressively increasing responsibility in case management.
  • Prior staff and program management experience.
  • MSW Degree from an accredited University or College and a LMSW or LCSWC license approved by National Association of Social Workers (NASW) or appropriate equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in workforce development preferred.
  • Experience building deep relationships providing coaching services and/or serving as a mentor.
  • Experience working in and creating diverse equitable and inclusive environments.

Skills and Abilities

  • Highly organized detailoriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills interpersonal relations skills and writing skills
  • Strong computer and notetaking skills including proficiency with database tracking and Google Workspace applications (Docs Sheets etc..
  • Exceptional personal responsibility for meeting goals and a track record of success.
  • Ability to recognize problems develop innovative solutions and implement them.
  • Ability to adhere to a strict guideline of keeping and maintaining confidential information.
  • Ability to prepare and submit accurate and reliable reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective counseling relationships with program participants.
  • Access to reliable personal transportation for use meeting graduates offsite and transporting graduates to appointments.
