Job Description
The Role:
We are on the lookout foran experienced Automation QA Tester to design develop and maintain automated test scripts that ensure the reliability performance and quality of our dashboards datadriven applications and integrations.
The Automation QA Tester will collaborate closely with developers manual QA testers product owners and DevOps to enhance test coverage improve testing efficiency and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. This role requires solid technical skills attention to detail and a passion for building maintainable test automation frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Test Automation Development:
Design develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional regression and integration testing.
Build reusable and modular test cases within the teams existing automation framework.
Collaborate with developers to write automated tests in parallel with development for continuous validation.
Ensure test scripts cover UI API database validation and performance scenarios where applicable.
Framework Collaboration & Maintenance:
Work within the established automation framework while contributing enhancements and reusable components.
Collaborate with team members to maintain coding standards best practices and documentation for the automation suite.
Review and optimize existing automated tests for performance reliability and maintainability.
Integration with CI/CD:
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing and early defect detection.
Monitor automated test results and troubleshoot failures in collaboration with developers and DevOps.
Ensure automated test runs are reliable maintainable and provide meaningful feedback to the team.
Defect Identification & Reporting:
Analyze test failures and work closely with developers to reproduce and log defects.
Provide clear actionable reports on automation coverage test results and quality metrics.
Verify defect fixes and ensure comprehensive regression coverage.
Scrum Team Collaboration:
Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Estimate automation testing efforts and contribute to refining user stories for testability.
Work closely with manual testers developers and the product team to ensure highquality delivery.
Continuous Improvement & Quality Advocacy:
Identify new opportunities for automation to reduce repetitive manual testing and increase coverage.
Stay current with industry trends tools and best practices in test automation.
Advocate for a qualityfirst mindset and promote automation best practices within the team.
Requirements:
3 years of experience in QA automation within Agile/Scrum environments.
Proven experience building and maintaining automated test suites for web applications (UI and API).
Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium Cypress Playwright REST Assured).
Strong programming or scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript PHP Python Java or similar.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI).
Solid understanding of testing strategies software QA methodologies and test design principles.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience testing data visualizations dashboards or reporting systems.
Familiarity with Postman SQL and API testing tools.
Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter k6 is a plus.
Exposure to QMetry or Jira test management systems.
Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards and how to automate accessibility tests.
