You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a Desktop support engineer to provide technical assistance to our client. The candidate will help install upgrade and troubleshoot PC hardware and software systems and handle daily technical support activities on desktop VDI and Laptop Microsoft Office support and 1st level support for Email Voice services Remote Access and Multimedia systems.
Responsibilities
The candidate will join the Workspace services Desktop team to provide customer support across end user computing technology platform.
Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field
5 years of experience in desktop support or a similar IT role
Handson experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office environment.
Experience with Active Directory Group Policy and basic networking concepts
Handson experience in supporting PC hardware and monitors.
Proven work experience as a Desk Support Engineer Technical Support of similar role.
Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals like Printers and Scanners.
Knowledge of network security practices and antivirus programs.
Strong problemsolving and multitasking skills.
Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
Selfmotivated and resultdriven to be able to deliver independently.
Strong sense of work ethics and discipline in complying with regulations and policies.
Strong oral and written communication skill in English is a must.
Preferred Qualification and Working Conditions:
Experience working in a financial services environment.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Citrix)
Fulltime position Monday to Friday with occasional afterhours work as needed
Oncall and weekend support rotation may be required
