Job Description
Peterson Cat has a need for a Shuttle Driver who is based at our Medford OR location.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The following reflects managements definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Maintain a safe working environment and observe all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety procedures laws policies and rules.
Monitor and maintain the assigned delivery vehicle in accordance with manufacturer company and DOT guidelines.
Confirm cargo is loaded properly safely not overloaded and with proper cargo restraints in place.
Confirm correct parts are delivered to correct locations.
Communicate with parts and product support employees in a timely manner.
Perform warehouse activities; stock and pick parts fill customer orders process returns and restock etc.
Operate lift truck or use hand truck to move convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving or other staging areas onto and off deliver vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
Promote positive company image by professional conduct and truck appearance.
Maintains punctual regular and predictable attendance.
Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and completion of certified truck driver training program; and a minimum of three years of related experience preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
CERTIFICATES LICENCENSES REGISTRATIONS
Class B Commercial Drivers License with required endorsements and a current medical certificate. Must possess an acceptable driving record.
