Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Technologist to join our New Brunswick team! The successful candidate will have the ability to work out of any one of our three offices located in Saint John Moncton or Fredericton.

As an Electrical Technologist you will play a crucial role in the design development and implementation of electrical systems for various projects across our buildings municipal and industrial market sectors. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers architects and project managers to ensure that our electrical designs are efficient safe and meet client expectations. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering a passion for innovation and a commitment to sustainability.

Specifically you will:

  • Design and prepare contract documents for electrical systems including power distribution lighting fire alarm and communication systems;
  • Coordinate design support staff across multiple disciplines;
  • Manage projects to meet budget and deliverables;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and clients;
  • Provide input into construction cost estimates;
  • Perform construction administration and field reviews;
  • Conduct document development planning and/or of commissioning and startup activities;
  • Participate in energy efficiency and renewable energy studies;
  • Prepare technical RFQ documents technical review of bid submissions and review of vendor documentation following award;
  • Coordinate and work with project team members in various branch offices or project sites in Canada and abroad;
  • Assure that all work on assigned projects is timely within budget accurate and inline with corporate and/or project specific quality and safety objectives;

Your Credentials:

  • Diploma in Engineering Technology;
  • Eligibility for registration as a CET or P.Tech in Canada;
  • Approximately ten 10 years experience in the design of electrical systems for commercial buildings industrial buildings and municipal infrastructure projects;
  • Additional professional accreditations such as PMP RCDD LC LEED AP WELL AP CTS CEM etc. would be considered an asset.


Valued
Experience:

  • Experience with healthcare and/or sustainable design projects;
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit;
  • Experience with AGi32 and/or ElumTools lighting simulation software would be an asset;
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Valid drivers license and be able to travel to job sites within Atlantic Canada.
