Job Description

Fixed Term 0.5 FTE until December 2025

Are you looking for your next research journey with a desire to increase your skills and knowledge in epidemiological and diagnostic evaluation studies in addition to working with Indonesian partners

The Role:

The successful candidate for this role will undertake research relevant to addressing the knowledge gaps around G6PD deficiency to guide vivax malaria treatment including epidemiological and diagnostic evaluation studies. This entails project planning and supervision proposal and protocol writing literature search statistical and geostatistical analysis manuscript writing and publication onfield visits and training. The research activities will be undertaken with members of the Global and Tropical Health Division and external collaborators.

About you:

The successful candidate will possess a suitable tertiary qualification and relevant experience and have high proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.

You also have:

Laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory procedures.

Research and evaluation skills with the ability to apply these to a public health context.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to contribute to academic peerreviewed papers manuscripts and project reports.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team as well as good crosscultural communication skills.

The benefits:

Base Salary $79589 $104787 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $100802 $129724 per annum).

Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.

Salary packaging up to $15900 per annum and $2650 meal and entertainment card taxfree.
