Who are we looking for

Our Environment Group for ACT & Southern NSW is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for major projects including in renewable energy transport defence water and other various environmental projects.

We are seeking a Technical Directorto be the driving force behind the development and continued growth of our teams capabilities in Environmental Impact Assessment. As a technical leader you will deliver innovative solutions and highquality projects for our clients and build upon and strengthen commercial awareness.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Providing technical leadership client management and project delivery for complex environmental impact assessment and approvals projects across ACT & southern NSW.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams by designing and coordinating studies and environmental assessments
  • Building strong trusting relationships with our clients regulatory agencies and key stakeholders to encourage collaborative engagement to support successful outcomes
  • Business planning and strategic decisionmaking while seeking out new project opportunities preparing proposals and converting leads into new business.
  • Preparing technical reports and growing our teams technical capability through mentoring and technical reviews

What you will bring to the team

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental related studies (such as Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering or Urban Planning)
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in a consulting environment.
  • Expertise in setting strategy design coordination and management of environmental impact assessment studies and regulatory approvals applications
  • Strong knowledge of NSW and/or ACT and Commonwealth environmental legislation and or planning policy
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects business development networking and client relationship management
