Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Cloud Virtualization Engineer you will design and optimize cloudnative environments focusing on automated deployment and recovery. Leveraging expertise in Kubernetes KubeVirt Linuxbased hypervisors and automation tools like Ansible and Terraform youll drive innovation in virtualization and develop containerized solutions emphasizing cloudnative infrastructure over VMware.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design installation and administration of containerized virtualization environments using KubeVirt VMware and HyperV
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters ensuring seamless deployment and maintaining high availability security and performance
Administer and finetune Linux systems to support virtualized infrastructure and containerized workloads
Build and maintain automated solutions for monitoring scaling and analyzing infrastructure using tools like Ansible and Terraform
Anticipate capacity needs and recommend architecture upgrades to prevent resource limitations
Develop automated incident response mechanisms track critical system metrics and participate in an oncall rotation for highpriority issues
Skills Experience And Requirements
Education and Experience:
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field
Equivalent experience with 4 years of relevant work in virtualization and cloudnative environments
2 years of experience with virtualization technologies such as KubeVirt VMware and HyperV managing distributed environments across multiple data centers
Skills And Qualifications:
Handson experience managing Kubernetes clusters and Linux systems administration
Proficient in Python Shell scripting Perl Ruby or similar languages for automation and infrastructure management
Skilled in automating deployments with Terraform Ansible or similar tools within a CI/CD pipeline
Proven success providing advanced support for baremetal virtual environments and mass storage systems
Experience managing largescale virtualization environments with KubeVirt VMware or Linuxbased hypervisors
