Description The Biomedical Equipment Technician II performs operational and safety testing maintenance and repairs on patient care equipment.Responsibilities include technical inspections of new used or reconditioned medical equipment repair of damaged medical equipment and overhaul of medical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete technical inspections of new used or reconditioned medical equipment.
Complete repair of damaged medical equipment.
Complete overhaul of medical equipment.
Use authorized Army Automation Systems which include but are not limited to the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) the Standard Army Maintenance SystemEnhanced (SAMSE) Theater EnterpriseWide Logistics System (TEWLS) Global Combat Support System (GCSS) and other systems that are specifically authorized by the USAMMA M3D.
Possess the training and abilities to technically inspect repair calibrate and overhaul medical equipment.
Perform calibration and PMCS.
Qualifications
Must possess knowledge maintenance actions: technical inspections repair calibrations/PMCS and overhaul of medical equipment.
Good communication and time management skills.
Minimum two 2 years of experience as a BMET.
As a minimum BMETs shall be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course or certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology.
A background check will be conducted.
Possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a CACard.
Possess the ability to pass a NCIC investigation and scored credit check per federal and contractual requirements.
Experience with the Department of Defense preferred.
Travel Willingness and ability to travel frequently 15 to 25 as required.
Salary
$ 31.73 per hour to $ 35.58 per hour
$ 66000.00 annually to $ 74000.00 annually

Work Environment This position requires significant travel.
Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. at a time the ability to push/pull equipment to and from carts and the ability to kneel stand bend and reach during equipment repair/maintenance.
