JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Emergency Medicine

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Shreveport LA

Facility: CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center

Service Setting: Emergency Room

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: Ongoing

CLINICAL SHIFT SCHEDULE

MonTues: 7 AM 3 PM 9 AM 7 PM 1 PM 9 PM 7 PM 7 AM

Wed: 7 AM 7 PM 9 AM 9 PM 7 PM 7 AM

ThursSun: 7 AM 5 PM 1 PM 11 PM 9 PM 7 AM

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Mixed emergency room population

Patient Volume/Census: 68 patients/day; approximately 25000 annually

FACILITY INFORMATION

Specialty Backup: Most subspecialties available except neurosurgery and hand surgery

EMR System: Meditech

Expedited Credentialing: Yes approximately 30 days

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General emergency medicine procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active LA License

Board Certification: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (EM)

Certifications: ATLS & ACLS not required for EMboarded physicians

Experience: EM residencytrained only

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care in a highvolume setting

Collaborate with onsite staff and specialty teams

Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation

Work effectively in a multiprovider coverage model
