Responsibilities
Pediatrix Medical Group seeks an experienced per diem certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our South Florida team of Neonatologists and NNPs in providing highquality compassionate care at both HCA Florida Mercy Hospital and at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital in Miami Florida.
- 12 hour daytime shifts in the NICU at both Mercy Hospital and Nicklaus Childrens Hospital
- Team of hospitalists cover the newborn nursery
About Mercy Hospital:
- Mercy Hospital has a 25bed Level III NICU with an expanding average daily census
- Beautiful updated unit opened in 2022
- Unbelievable location in Coconut Grove with incredible views of Biscayne Bay
About Nicklaus Childrens Hospital:
- 40bed Level IV NICU one of the few Level IV NICUs in the state of Florida
- Provide care for over 800 critically ill newborns each year
- Receives newborns referred from other NICUs throughout South Florida Latin America and the Caribbean
- Nicklaus Childrens Hospital was featured in the 2023 U.S. News and World Report (USN&WR) rankings of the top 50 Best Childrens Hospitals Nicklaus Childrens Hospital in Miami Florida
- Recipient of gold level Beacon Award for Excellence in patient care in the NICU PICU and CICU
- One of only two freestanding pediatric hospitals in the nation to have achieved the status of having 3 ICUs awarded goldlevel Beacon Awards
Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a masters degree
- Recent NNP experience required
- FL license required
