Job Description

About the Position

Are you an accounting professional looking to grow your career in a supportive and collaborative environment Were looking for a detailoriented and organized individual to join our team as a Sr. Accounting Specialist. In this role youll handle key accounting tasks like processing invoices managing expense reports and supporting audits all while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This is a Luster internal fulltime hybrid position (three days per week in office) located in Mill Valley CA.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting tasks include invoice processing expense reporting data entry and recording of financial transactions.
  • Examines accounting documents to verify accuracy and uniform application of policies procedures and acceptable accounting standards.
  • Prepares or assists with various reports for federal state and other governmental agencies and meet quarterly annual or other deadlines to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; may also develop nonstandard reports and statements.
  • Assists in managing accounts payable by processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payment.
  • Provides support as needed during routine audits; may retrieve and present financial statements.
  • Assists with the preparation and maintenance of files.
  • Assists with biweekly payroll as needed.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed (e.g. HR for performance review updates and support of compliance tasks etc.
  • Stays current with knowledge on federal state and local laws rules regulations policies and procedures.
  • Applies continuous improvement techniques for the business as well as for self.

Skills and Attributes

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have superior attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate across departments as well as with clients vendors etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years professional experience in accounting finance or closely related field.
  • Prior work experience with the support and preparation of financial reports.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency with enterprise accounting software like Clearvue/Unanet.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g. Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience in professional services or AEC industries.
  • Experience with data analysis using reporting/analytics tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI etc.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $65k$85k annually $31$38/hr. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience breadth of skills total education achieved certifications/licenses that have been obtained etc.
