Job Description
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 35 years accounting experience
- Must have strong written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word New York Citys Passport system and New York States billingsystemis required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Nonprofit experience required
- Familiarity with QuickBooksOnlinea plus but not required
- Salary $6570000
- Monthly/quarterly grants claims for 1215 government and foundation funded grants as assigned
- Prepare and submit monthly quarterly and annual claims to funding agencies on a timely basis
- Follow up on collection of Accounts Receivable claims
- Prepare proof of claims for each claim and reconcile to general ledger
- Assist program personnel with budget modifications
- Prepare budgets and budget modifications
- Prepare journal entries
- Communicate with program directors for monthly fiscal management of program and comparisons of actual to budgeted spending
- Communicate with Development Office for submission of financial reports as needed
- Prepare yearend audit analyses for programs
