Test engineer Real Driving Emissions Fuel Economy

Reporting to the Product Manager you will be involved in OnBoard Emissions & Fuel Economy team of Powertrain Department for all kind of vehicle technologies: ICE PHEV HEV EV and FCEV. The activities to be carried out will consist in complete vehicle testing and analysis in the field of onboard emissions and fuel & energy consumption mainly in Heavy Duty vehicles (but also in Light Duty vehicles) as well as managing and reporting the related activities of those projects. Main activities:

• Test vehicles instrumentation (definition and requirements)
• Complete vehicle testing and analysis in the field of onboard emissions (PEMS) and fuel/energy consumption either for LightDuty and HeavyDuty vehicle applications
• Managing and reporting the related activities of those projects
• Test equipment control and managerial

Responsibilities:

• Involved in projects related to fuel & energy consumption measurements and their improvements in heavyduty vehicles mainly but also might be involved in Real Driving Emissions for LDV.
• Involved in projects for fuel/energy consumption as well as exhaust emissions (PEMS) measurements and fuel consumption improvement in heavyduty vehicles
• Test and data logging equipment configuration test supervision test validation data analysis and reporting.
• Test protocol definitions and detection of potential improvements.
• Master plan project definition and exploding to subtasks and milestones.
• Test equipment control and checking according to quality standards internal and external
• Test equipment requirements definition ensuring suitability for tests
• Daily communications with involved technicians in the team to plan and monitor daily tasks
• Daily/weekly scheduling of tasks. Followup and reporting project status to customer and team leader / project manager.
• Contact with other partners (internal/external) of the project related to results and technical topics.
• Quality improvements and automation of data postprocessing
• Project Management.
• Preparation of the quotation for the customers (technical and cost definition of new projects).
• Presentations (commercials and projects) to the customers.

Requirements:

• Experience in vehicle testing specially fuel & energy consumption and emissions
• Knowledge of heavy duty vehicles (HDV) in PWT field
• Experience in project management as well customer services
• Client orientation
• Skills on Office pack and macros Excel.
• Flexible schedule
• Willing to travel abroad for testing and commercial visits
• Selfmotivated proactive and good team player role.

Added value:

• Experience on engine dyno testing
• Experience in LDV testing for Real Driving Emissions (RDE)
• Experience in HDV testing for SORT VTP and HDV testing NonRoad Mobile Machinery (NRMM).
• Knowledge of RDE and WLTP regulations
• Technical knowledge of HDV related engines and powertrains
• Experience in automotive mechanics / CFGS Automoci
• Operating measuring instruments and fitting external instrumentation to vehicle/engine

Education:

• University Degree in Mechanic Electronics or similar.

Languages:

• Spanish and English fluent
• Other languages like French and/or German would be an added value
