About our school

Tyndale is a preschool to Year 12 coeducational school located in Blacktown Sydney. At Tyndale we believe that God has given parents the responsibility for the nurture of their children according to the Word of the Lord. Tyndale is therefore committed to partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children by equipping students to be disciples of Jesus through Christcentred Biblical education.

About the role

We are seeking a suitably qualified and committedMusicTeacher to fulfil the ongoing fulltime position of SecondaryMusicTeacher at our School starting on 28 April 2025.

In this role you will collaborate with ensemble teachers and classroom teachers to provide highquality Performing Arts education. This includesmusicalperformances and special events. The position reports to both the Creative and Performing Arts Coordinator and the Head of Secondary and encompasses responsibilities in teaching assisting in cocurricularmusicactivities and ongoing curriculum development.

Essential Criteria

  • Christian of aReformed/Evangelical persuasion who is an active member of a Reformed/Evangelical church
  • Wholeheartedly subscribe to our SchoolsEducational Creed
  • Possess NESA Teachers Accreditation
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Enthusiasm for engaging students in meaningful learning experiences
  • Passion for Christian Education
  • Experienced musician
  • Confident in the use of technology in the classroom
  • Curious and tenacious learner with a passion for motivating students to be likewise
  • Desire to deliver highqualitymusicclasses to Secondary students that promote a love formusic
  • Desire to engage in a dynamic staff learning environment where the honing of ones teaching practice is encouraged and facilitated

Desirable Criteria

  • Open to taking on a Stage 4 Wellbeing Coordinator role on a temporary basis
  • Experience in teaching Stage 6Music1Music2 andMusicExtension
  • Experience in leading and conducting instrumental/vocal ensembles e.g. school choir worship band etc.
  • Have an integrated understanding of the interaction between ones faith and teaching
  • Engage in School Performing Arts events and display consistent support for the School through visible involvement in School life
  • Work as a team member of the Creative and Performing Arts department to foster collaboration and creativity
