Senior Engineer Android - Order Tracking SDK Logistics

We are on the lookout for a Senior Engineer Android (Order Tracking SDK Logistics) to join our Order Tracking SDK team to help us create a fast reliable and transparent delivery experience. You will be helping build the order tracking experience used every day by our millions of customers across 70 countries. The Customer Tribe in Logistics owns the customer experience for our customers in this case: Order Tracking! We enable this by building tools for our various subbrands and their mobile platforms.

• Work on Delivery Hero hardest problems building high quality architecturally sound systems that are aligned with our business needs
• Always be learning and be a true expert on your area of expertise
• Raise the collective level of expertise within the team focusing on best practices design patterns and system design
• Be a leader and a model setting high standards for engineering excellence performance scalability and security by example and mentorship
• Interact in a healthy way with the team caring for individuals and cultivating a positive team culture of helping each other
• Drive technological improvements through RFCs or other tools to explain discuss and align decisions paving the future of our solutions.
• Assist domain leads to set the technical vision and strategy.
• Create clean easy to understand code and architectures that are trusted by our client teams

In our Logistics Team youll tackle highimpact challenges that make lastmile delivery efficient affordable and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders end customers and merchants across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimize delivery operations supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.

Qualifications :

• 6 years of professional software development experience (proficiency in Kotlin experience with Java)
• Experience working with server driven UI architectures
• Experience in measuring monitoring and improving app performance
• Ability to ship consumer facing high quality mobile products
• Passionate about crafting simple solutions to complex engineering problems and writing readable maintainable well tested code
• Positive proactive and enjoy working in a crossfunctional team

Nice to Have: 

• Experience with Flutter and integrations between flutter/kotlin
• People / Leadership skills able to lead discussions with the PM Developers and Design teams
• Passion for new technologies and willingness to mentor and teach
• Experience building pluggable SDKs used by multiple client teams.
• Experience in large scale product & teams 30 team size
• A Bachelors degree in a traditional science subject ideally computer science engineering  or information systems from a wellregarded university
