AECOM is seeking an Energy Planning Engineer to join our HighPerformance Buildings team. The team is focused on the east region of the US but works nationally and internationally as well. This highlycollaborative multidisciplinary team provides design leadership and advisory services to clients striving to realize more sustainable and resilient building portfolio operations. The role is based in the New York/New Jersey region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support in the development of decarbonization plans and leading the teams energy modeling services. The role is primarily technical in nature with a focus on earlystage energy and decarbonization strategies and energy analyses and modeling to support thirdparty sustainability certifications such as LEED and Envision.
The teams recent and ongoing projects include airport and university decarbonization plans and Federal energy planning.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
The varied nature of our work must be reflected in our teams expertise and skills; as such we seek applicants with a solid understanding of the principles of performanceled design for both buildings and campus or campuslevel energy infrastructure and power generation. A highlevel working knowledge of these systems and a propensity for creative problemsolving is therefore critical. The ability to develop and communicate ideas clearly will be seen as a significant strength in any potential candidate.
