Position Summary:
Hatch is seeking a Systems EIT in their Rail Rail Systems Practice with an interest in Train Control systems and related Electrical and Communications technologies. The Systems EIT will support projects globally out of our Mississauga location with an initial focus on Torontos Union Station Resignalling and the GO Transit Train Control System executed from our Bay Street office.

Responsibilities:
- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques procedures and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Rail Systems which covers: Conventional Signalling and Communications Based Train Control systems Traction Power Communications (Radio Fiber Optics Networks CCTV Public Announcement) SCADA Systems Assurance and Systems Engineering
- Assist with technical design and engineering
- Coordination with specialists and engineers and related disciplines to produce integrated design deliverables
- Assistance of senior engineers and designers as and when needed
- Contribute to overall needs for project completion.
Education and Experience:
- Must be working towards graduating in 2022 or recently graduated with an Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Communications Engineering or Systems Engineering degree from an accredited university.
- In good academic standing
- Interested in Rail Systems engineering as a career; Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation an asset
- Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset
- Knowledge or summer student experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects will be an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction
- Attributes of a young professional
- Interested in innovation sustainability safety and quality
