Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Aide for our Point Lookout Senior Community Service Center. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining a hygienic safe and efficient kitchen environment while also ensuring our older adults nutritional needs are met.
Job PurposeThe main purpose of this role is to support food preparation and service with an acute understanding of food safety regulations. As a Kitchen Aide you will be interacting directly with the older adults at our service center thus it is crucial you can communicate effectively about their nutritional requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Assisting in food preparation and serving.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen.
- Adhering to food safety compliance and sanitary procedures.
- Managing inventory and recording tasks through basic computer applications.
- Communicating effectively with older adults about their nutritional needs.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications :
- Experience in food service.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to adhere to sanitary procedures and safety measures.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for inventory and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills particularly with older adults.
- Understanding of the nutritional needs of older adults.
- Possess a Food Service Managers Training certification or the ability to obtain it.
