Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) invites applications for Clinical Skills Facilitators in the Department of Clinical Foundations. The RUSM academic center has facilities in the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Center.
The term for this position will run from May 5 2025 through June 12 2026. You must be a recent RUSM graduate to be eligible to apply for a Facilitator role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The successful candidates will be required to facilitate small group learning sessions designed to teach physical examination skills medical interviewing skills and casebased clinical reasoning.
- Assistance in high fidelity medical simulation used to teach students to apply clinical reasoning and a methodical approach to patients with time sensitive needs.
- Clinical Skills Facilitators are also assigned extended hour duties during preexamination periods in order to coach students in skills practice sessions and are expected to proctor practical examinations within the clinical skills courses.
- Clinical Skills Facilitators may also facilitate small group sessions in the Academy for
Teaching and Learning
- Proctoring clinical skills summative examinations in realtime with mastery of Educational Technology software
- Grading of patient encounter documentation is also expected as is performance of other duties projects and tasks as requested by the department Chair.
- Opportunities exist to assist with curriculum development departmental continuous quality improvement initiatives medical education research projects and scholarly writing for publication.

Clinical Skills Facilitators directly report to and are supervised by the Clinical Foundations Assistant Chairs with input from the Clinical Foundations Chair.
Qualifications :
- Must be a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. Required and
- M.D. degree from RUSM
- GPA must be above 3.0 or candidate must submit a letter of reference
- You must have received graduation clearance from the Office of the Registrar.
- Applicants must have finished clinical rotations and electives and have passed USMLE Step 1 Step 2 CK and Step 2 CS.
- A final diploma will be provided to the Department Chair verifying you have met all graduation requirements.
- Candidates will be selected based on their record of academic achievement and at least one phone interview with the Department Chair and Vice Chair.
