Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detailoriented Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process including sourcing suppliers negotiating prices maintaining inventory and ensuring timely delivery of materials. As a Purchase Executive you will play a key role in supporting the companys operational needs and maintaining efficient purchasing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and Sourcing:
Identify evaluate and select suppliers based on quality price and delivery capabilities.
Place orders for materials goods and services required for business operations.
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely reordering of materials to avoid stockouts.
Maintain accurate records of all purchased items and their associated costs.
Ensure proper storage and inventory management of goods.
Order Management and Timely Delivery:
Track and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any delays or issues with delivery.
Coordinate with the relevant departments to ensure timely availability of materials for production or other operational needs.
Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Resolve any vendorrelated issues such as quality concerns delays or discrepancies.
Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and maintain a list of preferred vendors.
Purchase Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain purchase records documentation and contracts in accordance with company policies.
Prepare purchase reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting for future procurement needs.
Ensure proper filing of all purchase orders invoices and receipts for auditing purposes.
Cost Control:
Monitor and manage purchasing budgets ensuring that costs are kept within approved limits.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality and service levels.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure purchased materials meet the required quality standards before acceptance.
Requirements:
Experience: 57 years of experience in purchasing or procurement preferably in a similar industry.
Education: Any degree (preferably in Business Supply Chain Management or related fields).
Skills:
Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors.
Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office (Excel Word etc..
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with inventory management and material handling.
Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
Familiarity with costcontrol techniques and vendor performance evaluation.
