At Ubisoft Bucharest we are looking for a Senior Level Designer to join our team on The Division 2. While working in a creative environment in this role you willcreate levels while staying in the games rules mechanics and logic. You will shape the games environment under the close supervision of theLead Level Designer and the Level Design Director in order tocreate experiences that elicit the desired emotions.
Your main mission:
- Understand the DesignDirectors visionand what part your level plays in the overall game experience.
- Understand the technical constraintsunder which you need to operate and validate your designs with the Level Design Technical Directors in order to ensure the levels feasibility.
- Plan prototype execute and iterateon the levels that are assigned to you while staying in close contact with the other job families such as level art narrative/quest design and game design.
- Use the available toolsin order to shape your assigned levels.
- Be able toreceive and offer constructive feedback ingroup and 1on1 settings.
- Fix design bugsentered into the database by testers.
Qualifications :
The professional value you bring:
- Previous experience in level/ mission design world building and scripting with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects and design styles
- Proficiency in design editors
- Ability to develop and articulate a clear creative vision for your designs ensuring they are innovative and align with the brands identity
- Strong problemsolving skills to address design challenges and find effective solutions that meet both aesthetic and technical requirements.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and ambiguity continuously learning and applying new design techniques and technologies.
- Keen eye for detail to ensure that all design elements are polished and cohesive.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams present ideas to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into designs.
