Job Description
A Logistics Specialists responsibilities may include:
- This role supports the tobacco industry
- Prepare review interpret and ensure compliance of shipping documentation primarily for incoming shipments but may include outgoing shipments
- Support business and client strategic goals after analyzing and assessing stability needs
- Have awareness of Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practices (TPMP)
- Have knowledge of import and export rules and regulations and compliance guidelines
- Cooperate with customs and interact with logistic experts to improve the shipping process
- Arrange pickups and cooperate with external shipping partnersm (may deliver materials to customers onsite)
- Communicate with internal clients regarding lead times and pickup/delivery dates
- Compile and archive all relevant documentation
- Author and/or review technical documents and participate in daily meetings as required
- Handle shipping discrepancies/exceptions/deviations in an appropriate and timely manner contributing or leading root cause investigations and helping to define and execute corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) assist with Quality and Regulatory Audits and interact directly with auditors
- Communicate with the Tax department Customs and Internal Customers as needed
- Assist in training of personnel
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in science or other related degree concentration or equivalent directly related experience
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 4 years related experience in shipping/logistics
- At least 1year relevant laboratory/quality assurance experience in a regulated lab environment with preference for GLP or cGMP
Additional Information :
Position is fulltime and permanent MondayFriday 8am5pm with over time as needed. This role is located onsite in WinstonSalem NC.
