Job Description
About client:
Client is a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions specializing in power system protection and relay settings. They are looking for a fulltime Relay Settings Electrical Engineer to join their team in Baton Rouge LA.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in relay settings a PE license and expertise in working with Schweitzer relays microprocessorbased and electromechanical relays. This is an onsite position requiring attendance at our Baton Rouge office five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement relay settings for protection systems.
- Perform analysis testing and troubleshooting of protective relay systems.
- Work with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) relays.
- Handle both microprocessorbased and electromechanical relays.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other engineers and field teams to optimize system reliability.
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relay settings and power system protection.
- experience with modelling software Aspen Cape & Etap
- Handson experience with Schweitzer relays (SEL).
- Experience with both microprocessorbased and electromechanical relays.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
