Job Description
Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Evident is experiencing an exciting phase of growth and we are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our artificial intelligence products. In this role you will be responsible for creating machine learning models and training systems. Exceptional skills in statistics and programming are essential for success in this position and your ultimate goal will be to shape and build efficient selflearning applications.
Responsibilities:
Understand business objectives and develop models that contribute to their achievement while establishing metrics to track progress.
Utilize data modeling and evaluation strategies to identify patterns and predict unseen instances.
Train models and optimize their hyperparameters.
Define validation strategies to ensure robust model performance.
Analyse model errors and develop strategies to overcome them.
Leverage exceptional mathematical skills to perform computations and work with the algorithms involved in machine learning programming.
Demonstrate endtoend understanding of the applications being created including machine learning algorithms.
Drive and help establish a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
Provide timely communication on project deliverables to relevant stakeholders.
Be flexible with work schedule and occasionally work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
Contribute to establishing a vibrant and collaborative work environment and be confident in leading initiatives.
Perform other duties as required and assigned including special projects.
Requirements:
Exceptional mathematical skills to perform computations and work with algorithms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes to nontechnical stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated innovation and creativity in solving complex problems.
Ability to work with large complex datasets.
Previous experience in machine learning and developing AI products.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning such as Python or R.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
