Job Description
Job Description: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Bakersfield CA
Salary Range: $28/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities as necessary.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions to maintain equipment integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and inspections.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff members and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Work collaboratively with team members and adhere to safety protocols and best practices.
- Keep maintenance area and tools organized and in good working order.
- Participate in training and development programs as needed to enhance skills and knowledge.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring manual dexterity including lifting heavy objects.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems electrical systems and hydraulic systems.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and management effectively.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing building systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
