Job summary What to expect:

As the Distribution Operator in our Distribution Team you will undertake a wide range of tasks following processes across several areas within the department. You will be working autonomously as well as part of a wider team.

Day to day you will be:

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Working across various areas in the Distribution site
• Following H&S guidance to ensure safety in the workplace
• Ensuring month end controls are adhered to in the Goods Out area
• Maintaining a safe and secure working environment for everyone
• Investigating and responding to operational issues relating to shipments and escalating to Team Leader or other departments where appropriate
• Responding to enquiries from other departments in relation to compliant handling or helping to meet customer requirements
• Completing relevant shipping documentation

About you:

We are looking for someone who has experience of working as an Operator in CooperVision and has good working knowledge of the processes in several areas on the plant. You must be willing to learn new skills and have a good understanding on LEAN and continuous improvement principles.

You must have Forklift driving experience.

Workplace Environment:

• Large open plan warehouse/ factory
• PPE must be worn where required
• Some heavy lifting so must be able to lift heavy items up to 15kg
• Potential for working at heights
• Consistently noisy environment from machinery
• Varied temperatures in the warehouse depending on the season
• Long standing required in this role
