Job Description
Design Technology Teacher Fulltime Permanent (April/September 2025 Start)
Location: Shropshire
Salary: Paid to scale on MPS / UPS
Job Description: We are currently looking for a skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a highly regarded school in Shropshire. The successful Design Technology Teacher will have the opportunity to teach students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 focusing on a range of topics including product design engineering and textiles.
Key Responsibilities of the Design Technology Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons that challenge students to think critically and creatively.
- Support students in both practical and theoretical aspects of Design Technology.
- Collaborate with fellow DT Teachers to develop and enhance the departments curriculum.
- Encourage students to engage in extracurricular activities related to design and technology.
The Ideal Candidate for Design Technology Teacher:
- A degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
- Qualified Design Technology Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching design and technology.
