Position Overview
The Special Assistant to the President is a critical member of the Presidents Office at Minerva University providing highlevel strategic and operational support to advance the institutions mission globally. This dynamic role combines project management relationship building analytical thinking and executive communication to drive presidential priorities forward.
Key Responsibilities
Global Advance Operations
- Plan and execute multicity and multicountry presidential trips involving faculty members government officials corporate leaders philanthropists and Minerva students/alumni
- Develop comprehensive briefing materials for all engagements
- Coordinate complex logistics while maintaining flexibility for lastminute changes
- Ensure seamless of highstakes meetings and events across different cultural contexts
Strategic Initiative Management
- Track and drive progress on presidential priorities and crossfunctional initiatives
- Identify and engage appropriate staff liaisons for various projects
- Create accountability frameworks to ensure successful implementation
- Provide regular progress updates to the President and Executive Leadership Team
Research and Analysis
- Conduct thorough analyses of potential new initiatives and strategic opportunities in partnership with members of the Executive Leadership Team
- Develop evidencebased recommendations for decisionmaking
- Prepare compelling presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Anticipate challenges and develop mitigation strategies
Executive Communication
- Draft correspondence talking points and presentations for the President
- Represent the Presidents Office in various contexts both internally and externally
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the university
Requirements :
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree with outstanding academic achievement
- 24 years of professional experience demonstrating exceptional organizational ability
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and in ambiguous situations
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 2530 of the time)
- Familiarity with CRMs Google Suite project management software AI and other essential tech tools for global external affairs
Preferred
- Experience in higher education international relations or management consulting
- Previous experience with advance operations and/or executive support
- Demonstrated interest in educational innovation

Salary: $85000$110000 depending on experience
