Job Description

The Assistant Program Director is responsible for supporting the operations of the Rohnert Park Day Services Program.  As the APD youll be the righthand person to the Program Director helping to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant day program.  Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead & Inspire: Mentor a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and foster a growthoriented environment.
  •  Build Community Connections: Develop partnerships with local organizations to provide individuals with realworld opportunities to volunteer engage and learn life skills.
  • Crafting Creative Programs: Design engaging workshops that promote independence and skillbuilding.
  • Ensure Smooth Operations: Manage schedules assist with staff training oversee transportation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Acting as a Champion: Advocate for the wellbeing and independence of those we support working closely with families case managers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Who Were Looking For:

  • Experienced in Supervision: At least 1 year of leadership experience with strong decisionmaking and communication skills.
  • Skilled in Human Services:  At least 2 years in the field (experience in psychology mental health or community development is a plus!.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred but we value experience and passion in lieu of a degree.
  • Creative & SolutionOriented: Able to think outside the box build relationships and tackle challenges.
  • GrowthOriented: Excited about professional development and eager to foster independence for the individuals we support.
  • Resilient and Positive: Comfortable working with individuals with moderate to high behavioral challenges.
  • CommunityFocused: Eager to foster an inclusive teamdriven environment.
  • Must have a valid California drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
