Job Title: Academic Assistant

Purpose of the Role:
The Academic Assistant at Bloomingdale International School is crucial in fostering a dynamic and thriving educational environment. This role supports the Head of School by managing a variety of organizational operational collaborative and communication tasks to ensure the seamless of academic and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee academic administrative tasks including setting up email accounts issuing ID cards configuring calendars and maintaining student data.
- Facilitate effective communication with parents regarding student absenteeism and prepare necessary documentation for student transfers.
Academic Coordination:
- Ensure seamless academic processes by coordinating with teachers on submissions reports and schedules.
- Manage teacher substitutions track home learning assignments and monitor student progression to uphold academic standards.
Organizational Facilitation:
- Streamline communication and meetings between staff departments and the Head of School.
- Coordinate events and maintain accurate records of meetings and academic planning sessions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with various tasks as requested by the Senior Leadership Team.
- Uphold compliance with school policies and contribute to a positive and professional school culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in similar academic roles is desirable.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
