The PNC role is designed to provide obstetrical care and education to the patients of NSPG OB/GYN. The PNC nurse works closely with the physicians and within the RN scope to provide professional medical assessment advice and cares for the patients in an ambulatory care/office setting. The prenatal nurse provides triage services performs administrative paperwork coordinates and orders tests and lab services for obstetrical care and treatment. The PNC will maintain records of vital statistics enter and organize data and effectively respond and communicate time sensitive information to the appropriate providers. The PNC will administer injections and medications and assist the physicians as needed. The nurse may perform other related tasks as necessary to ensure high quality obstetrical care.
Required Phlebotomy Medication Administration Use of Electronic Medical Record Knowledge of minor surgical procedures and equipment. CPR Certification for Healthcare Professionals.
Required a minimum of 5 years triage experience in medical office setting or hospital.
Preferred OB/GYN experience.
Required a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Preferred BSN
Required Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
