The Site Quality Lead will implement and administer the Quality Assurance Program on an active construction site to the ensure work completed complies with the project and code requirements. This involves performing inspections on selfperformed and subcontracted work auditing processes/documentation to ensure compliance to requirements and managing 3rd party testing parties. Site Quality Inspector will promote quality awareness and continuous improvement to positively influence the overall success of the Quality Program.Develop written plans and procedures for project specific activities to supplement task planning.
Create and ensure compliance to ITPs and maintain the supporting documentation.
Manage the Quality activities and providing guidance training and support to subcontractors
Coordinate with site teams to address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
Oversee the construction process to ensure that all activities are according to established quality standards.
Interpret customer standards product specifications drawings and applicable codes and standards and translate them into detailed QA documents (Inspection and Test Plans procedures etc) to ensure the products/service will meet the specified requirements.
Interface with the Engineering Procurement Construction on matters related to the planning of QA activities required by the design and applicable codes and standards.
Interface with internal staff various suppliers customer representatives and regulatory authorities on issues related to quality and compliance.
Supporting with conducting root cause analysis and timely implementation of corrective/preventive action to respond to customer complaints internal and supplier concerns.
Manage supplier selection document approvals and assist with reports regarding suppliers performance.
Maintain the liaison with the Customers Quality Assurance Representatives and TSBC
Enforce and promote the companys Quality Assurance Program Demonstrate positive leadership qualities and apply them to the work environment
Manage and audit subcontractors quality management systems for their specific scopes of work to ensure compliance.
A degree/diploma in Engineering Engineering Technology or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
CWB Weld Inspector endorsed to ASME B31.3 B31.1 B31.9 and CSA W47.1/W59 or similar.
Experience dealing with Technical Safety BC will be an asset.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a construction environment in food manufacturing Buildings and Concrete.
Comprehensive knowledge in applying ISO 9001 ISO2200 ASME Codes CSA Codes and building codes requirements to construction
General experience and knowledge in earthworks geotechnical formwork and concrete superstructural steel architectural or infrastructure
Strong understanding of Code and Client fabrication regulatory requirements are implemented and completed at field sites
Proficient with computer programs including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
Strong analytical critical thinking problemsolving skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of welding procedures techniques and welding inspection processes
Knowledge of NDE technical requirements and processes
