Employ.ed on Campus internships are ONLY open to 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK.

We are looking for an intern to support marketing and delivery of the Universitys public engagement programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Opportunity:

The University in partnership with the Stand Comedy Club have a longrunning public engagement with research programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe feature university academics talking about some of their more controversial research in an informal setting with local standup comedians. 2025 will be the thirteenth year that this has run.

The Public Engagement Intern will lead on the final marketing of the 2025 shows. This will include:

  • Undertaking a programme of focussed tailored publicity for each show.
  • Designing and implementing a social media campaign for the whole programme.

This post is fulltime 35 hours per week); however we are open to considering parttime or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a noncontractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular oncampus working.

Employ.ed on Campusis run by the Careers Service in collaboration with university departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh. As well as great work experience the Careers Service provides supporting resources this is combined with a framework to support the development of participants employability and selfreflection with anEdinburgh Awardas part of the internship.
