Job Description

Position Summary

The Residential Life and Housing department at the College of Saint Benedict invites applications for a fulltime 1.0 FTE) benefit eligible position of Assistant Director of Residential Life.

The Assistant Director of Residential Life at the College of Saint Benedict oversees housing operations to support the fouryear residential experience. This includes managing room assignments for new and returning students resolving student issues in collaboration with staff and coordinating with campus partners on assignments room changes and facilities. The role also involves overseeing all housing facilities and operations including renovations repairs new construction and technology as well as developing departmental materials and managing policies and procedures. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students the Assistant Director plays a key role in strategic planning for Residential Life and the student development division.

Serving approximately 1300 women residents in six residence halls and 13 campus apartment buildings the Residential Life staff includes a director assistant director five livein residence directors 40 paraprofessional resident assistants and community advisors and 89 student office assistants. Professional staff members build close connections with students through daily interactions campus events and community involvement.
