Job Description

As a Housekeeping Manager and ambassador of the Mama brand while representing the Company you are expected to embody the Mama Spirit. Objective:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for supervising the performance of the housekeeping staff to ensure that prescribed hotel standards are met.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed. 
  • Establishes schedule and plans daily work assignments.      
  • Demonstrates leadership and training to staff.
  • Develops and trains housekeeping staff on housekeeping policy and procedures.
  • Manages housekeeping problems.
  • Inspects and approve staff work performance.
  • Performs regular inspections of rooms and common areas for sanitation order and safety.
  • Ensures that housekeeping staff follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times.
  • Orders cleaning materials and maintains budget.
  • Maintains the care and use of supplies equipment.
  • Inspects storage rooms utility and janitorial closet for upkeep and supply control.
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels to provide clean safe and comfortable environment.
  • Recommends budgetary amounts to meet the equipment and supply needs of the hotel.
  • Communicates with other managers and supervisors to adequately plan for housekeeping services and activities.
  • Responds to guest requests promptly and according to polices.
  • Maintains the appearance of housekeeping areas.

Qualifications :

  • Related hotel housekeeping experience. Managerial experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma/College is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Must possess leadership ability.
  • Must have well developed problem solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible work hours including evenings and weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and wants of guests while balancing business needs of the Company.
  • Ability to work under pressure prioritize tasks.
  • Works great in a team.
