Job Description
SUMMARY
The Data Center Infrastructure Team is responsible for managing Expeditors essential infrastructure. This infrastructure provides Expeditors the global connectivity compute power backups and storage to meet its growing demand to move freight. The Storage Administrator is responsible for the support troubleshooting installation and deployment of Storage and Backups based systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install configure and manage all network attached storage (Dell PowerStore Hitachi HNAS Cohesity)
- Provides production support for arrays and fiber channel switches including afterhours oncall support
- Diagnose and isolate array fiber channel switching and applicationrelated problems
- Perform hardware maintenance repairs & replacements
- Ensure backups infrastructure is online and available
- Function as a subject matter expert for Storage and Backup related questions for other groups within Expeditors
- Provide recommendations to management through research and review of recent industry solutions in various Storage related technologies
- Create documentation and training material; provide training to others
Qualifications :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1015 Years of Experience in Storage Administration.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- 2 years of experience with storage management technologies (NAS SAN & FC Switches)
- Knowledge of backup strategies and products
- An aptitude for methodical and comprehensive troubleshooting
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Hitachi and Pure Storage
- Experience with Cohesity backup solutions
- Experience with agile (SAFe) project planning
- Experience managing a multivendor environment
- Practiced in designing and implementing business continuity / disaster recovery and high availability plans
