Job Description

About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and thoughtprovoking Geography and RE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 encouraging students to think critically about the world and their place in it.
- Plan and deliver lessons that bridge physical landscapes and human geography with ethical and philosophical concepts explored in RE.
- Inspire students to explore key global challenges such as climate change cultural conflict and ethical dilemmas through the lens of the Geography and RE teacher role.
- Assess student progress through essays projects presentations and discussions providing constructive feedback and personalized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop an innovative Geography and RE curriculum that reflects current global issues philosophical debates and student interests.
- Act as a passionate Geography and RE teacher in extracurricular and communitybased activities embodying a commitment to education and social responsibility.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Geography Religious Education or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Geography and RE across different key stages demonstrating the ability to inspire students.
- A keen understanding of both subject areas with a passion for showcasing the interconnections between them.
- Strong communication skills to foster meaningful discussions and collaborations within the classroom and the wider school.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to continually refine teaching practices as a Geography and RE teacher.
