You will perform standard and moderately complex setups and operations for custom and standard supply products on a flexographic press requiring shade tone and hue variations print registration and multiple die cutting stations. You will interpret order specifications and perform standard and moderate setups operations general and preventative maintenance troubleshooting and safety related housekeeping as related to the flexographic press. Has an understanding of turret and fanfold operations and can perform standard setups and production of this equipment. You will work alone or with team members depending on the task. This position may be required to rotate.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Print Op I & Print Op II Level:
- Assist and learn printing techniques and operations.
- Operate machine under supervision or guidance of Print Op III.
- Sort label and package finished goods for shipment per customer specifications quality requirements and standard practices
- Inspect general appearance of finished product
- Keep area supplied with necessary materials
- Prepare support for machine operators (mount plates tools or printsupport staging of setup clean up ink stations)
- Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operations
- Track multiple orders being packed at one time.
- Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity
- Maintain a clean safe work area
- Perform 5S duties and audits
- Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed
- Participate in group problemsolving teams and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor
Mach Op III Level:
- Apply skills and proficiencies in performing standard and moderately complex setups; interpretation of custom and standard specifications and special instructions printing cylinder preparation and installation mounting plates/tooling inking fountain and rollers loading supply rolls splicing webs setting impressions mixing and matching ink (including UV top coats) and processing setups which includes proper web tension registration and print quality. Approve own setup.
- Perform standard turret and fanfolder setups and changeovers individually or as a member of a team. Make required adjustments to ensure correctness of setup adjust knives change slit widths maintain web marking system control tension ensuring adherence to specifications and set roll counter. Approve own setup.
- Operate assigned press through production run performing adjustments to maintain print registration ink color ink levels viscosity and color consistency. Operate and maintain all related press equipment (i.e. turret fanfolder Martin splicer automation auto registration).
- Apply knowledge and skills in performing preventative/general maintenance (cleaning and lubrication) troubleshooting and corrective action on standard to moderately complex onpress problems.
- Order and verify materials per order
- Accurately capture and record necessary operating data including downtime causes and performancetoplan.
- Inspect general appearance of finished product
- Label and package finished goods for shipment per customer specifications quality requirements and standard practices
- Keep area supplied with necessary materials
- Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity
- Maintain a clean safe work area
- Perform 5S duties and audits
- Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed
- Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operations
- Follow all appropriate procedures to the accumulation labeling solid waste compacting onsite transportation storage and inspection of materials designated as hazardous waste per Environmental Control Instructions
- Participate in group problemsolving teams and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor
