Job Description
As an Engineering Manager SAP BI you will lead a team of SAP BI Engineers and collaborate closely with a Product Owner and other stakeholders to drive the development and delivery of Business Intelligence solutions in SAP. Your role combines technical leadership people management and process optimization to ensure highquality scalable and efficient SAP BI solutions.
Leveraging your expertise in SAP Business Intelligence data engineering you will mentor your team align efforts with business goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the successful delivery of SAP BI solutions ensuring alignment with business objectives and data strategies.
- Promote best practices in SAP BW SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) SAP Datasphere and other BI technologies ensuring technical excellence.
- Foster an open and collaborative environment encouraging knowledge sharing and innovation across teams.
- Ensure the teams work aligns with enterprise architecture principles security policies and governance guidelines.
- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies to enhance productivity and responsiveness in BI solution delivery.
- Support team growth and development providing mentorship and career guidance to SAP BI Engineers.
- Lead hiring and retention efforts ensuring the team has the right mix of skills and expertise.
- Work closely with the Domain Engineering Manager to monitor and optimize BIrelated costs (e.g. SAP licenses cloud infrastructure external resources).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure BI solutions meet reporting analytics and data integration needs.
Qualifications :
- 8 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on SAP BI and data engineering.
- Solid understanding of SAP BW SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) SAP Datasphere and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in agile methodologies and software delivery best practices.
- Proven ability to work in an internationally distributed environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align technical capabilities with business needs.
