Job Description
Located just east of downtown Kansas City Ameristar Casino and Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Casino and Hotel has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri amazing dining venues a newly renovated luxury hotelonsite childcare and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a fivelevel 2660 space parking structure with an enclosed climatecontrolled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar Casino and Hotel is seeking a Food Server in our Amerisports Bar. Amerisports is our premier sports bar offering a fun place to meet enjoy burgers wings amazing cocktails beer and watch your favorite sports teams. The successful candidate will serve food and beverages to guests in a quick efficient and courteous manner.
- Greet guests with a smile!
- Must be familiar with menu daily specials and preparation of foods and prices
- Use suggestive selling (i.e. cocktails appetizers desserts etc.
- Take customers orders and accurately input the order into the computer
- Observe and anticipate guests needs keeping table cleared between courses and beverages filled throughout their meal
- Present check for payment when all guests needs have been met
- Practice good safety procedures
- Adhere to department and property policies and procedures
- This is a uniformed position which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
Qualifications :
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent ability to multitask
- Knowledge of up selling techniques
Required Behaviors
- Extremely outgoing personality
- Interested in being personable to all guests
- Exceptional work habits
- Must be available to work nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to be on time to each scheduled shift
- Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image

Required Education and Work Experience
- At least 6 months experience as a server in a dining establishment
