Swing/Night Shift: 3:30p2am Monday Thursday we offer a 10 Shift Differential for this schedule.
Shields is experienced growth in the fourth quarter of 2023 which has carried over into 2024 and we have an immediate opportunityfor 2 CNC Lathe Machinists on the swing shift. These team members will carry out a variety of tasks in a fastpaced scheduledriven environment.
CNC Lathe Machinist(Levels 13 CNC Lathe Machinist
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Starts and observes machine operation
- Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors
- Process offset changes unassisted
- Check parts using micrometers calipers and other measuring devices.
- Verify conformance of completed work
- Working on lathes such as Mori Seiki (NLX2500 NLX3000 NLX4000 NZX2000 Hitachi Seiki Nakamura Tome Haas TL2 Manual Lathe.
Requirements:
- Extensive machine shop/metal working skills
- Possesses the ability to work with decimals
- Comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths)
- Ability to set up your own jobs and run first part
- Ability to adjust programs if required
